BLACKPINK Launch Nationwide ‘Pink Light-Up’ Tower Campaign in Japan Ahead of Their Third Tokyo Dome Appearance with a Three-Day Concert Run

K-pop girl group BLACKPINK (members JISOO, JENNIE, ROSÉ, and LISA) are set to return to Japan’s Tokyo Dome for a three-day solo concert run from January 16 to 18, 2026 — marking their third appearance at the venue. With just over a month remaining, YG Entertainment has announced a large-scale ‘Pink Light-Up’ campaign in collaboration with landmark towers across Japan, turning city skylines into BLACKPINK zones ahead of the shows.
According to YG Entertainment and multiple Korean reports, the project begins at Kobe Port Tower, running from December 1, 2025, to January 18, 2026. The tower lights up in BLACKPINK’s signature pink each night, with surrounding districts redesigned into immersive ‘BLACKPINK Spots’. Additional towers across Japan will follow, creating a nationwide light-up network ahead of the concerts.
The tower and its surroundings have been transformed into a themed experience zone, featuring BLACKPINK visuals along walking paths. YG notes that the aesthetic connects to the group's recent musical themes and tour identity, integrating BLACKPINK’s visual universe into Japan’s cityscape.
A circular rooftop photo zone allows visitors to capture sequential images resembling a film strip, ideal for social media edits. A photo exhibition featuring world tour highlights further enriches the on-site experience.
Limited-time cafés and merchandise zones offer themed items and desserts inspired by the group’s colors and songs. YG reports strong turnout from opening day, with lines wrapping around the tower.
This marks the group’s third Tokyo Dome performance following shows in 2019 and 2023, and their first large-scale solo concert in Japan in nearly three years. Korean outlets highlight strong anticipation among Japanese fans.
‘BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR DEADLINE’ began in July in Korea, with record-setting performances, later expanding through North America and Europe. The Tokyo Dome dates serve as the major highlight of the Japan leg.
While additional stage details remain undisclosed, the nationwide light-up and pop-up strategy clearly aims to create a city-wide immersive experience for fans traveling for the shows.
[KStarLoud Deep Dive] Strategically, the ‘Pink Light-Up’ project turns BLACKPINK from a touring act into part of Japan’s urban landscape. Landmark towers, walking routes, cafés, exhibitions, and merch zones are all designed to convert casual passersby into participants, while fans generate organic UGC through photos and reels. For YG, this effectively stretches a three-day Tokyo Dome run into a city-wide campaign lasting over a month — a playbook that other K-pop tours may try to replicate in major global markets.
