Rookie K-pop boy group CORTIS (members Martin, James, Joo-hoon, Seong-hyun, and Keon-ho) has achieved an impressive nine consecutive weeks on Billboard’s ‘World Albums’ chart with their debut album ‘COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES.’ According to Billboard’s November 15 chart, the album ranked No. 6, maintaining a steady presence since its debut at No. 15 on September 20.

Korean outlets such as OSEN, Newsen, and Sports Kyunghyang highlighted that CORTIS’s self-produced music, choreography, and visuals have transcended language barriers to captivate global audiences. The members describe themselves as a ‘Young Creator Crew,’ leading a new generation of K-pop artists who take full control of their creative process.

According to the October monthly Circle Chart, ‘COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES’ has surpassed 960,000 cumulative sales, marking the highest sales figure among rookies debuting in 2025. Industry observers note that achieving nearly a million sales without members from audition shows or prior idol experience underscores the group’s growing global fanbase and strong market impact.

CORTIS is set to further expand their international reach, performing at the ‘2025 MAMA AWARDS’ in Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Stadium on November 28–29, followed by the ‘10th Anniversary Asia Artist Awards 2025’ at Kaohsiung National Stadium in Taiwan on December 6. Korean media note that these appearances mark the group’s first simultaneous participation in two major Asian year-end award ceremonies, solidifying their position as one of the year’s top rookies.

With nine consecutive weeks on Billboard’s chart and multiple year-end performances ahead, CORTIS is poised to become one of K-pop’s most defining rookie acts of 2025. Several outlets predict that their debut album could achieve million-seller status by year’s end, marking a rare milestone for a self-producing idol group.
